刘啸东:
上海证券交易所副总经理
个人简介：
Dr. James Liu graduated from Zhengzhou University in 1981. In 1982, he attended graduate
school in the U.S. and finished his Ph.D. in 1988. After that, he was post-doctoral
research associate at State University of New Jersey and Assistant Professor at State
University of New York. Since 1990, he has been Managing Director at a Wall Street
investment company. For the past ten years, Dr. James Liu has been in charge of the
trading operations in the global markets. He has traded stocks, bonds, futures and other
derivatives in New York, London, Tokyo and Hong Kong markets. His yearly trading volume
was in excess of 10 billion US dollars. He has had an excellent trading and management
record and has accumulated a lot of experience in managing hot money, hedge fund and
global assets.
After 20 years of studying and working overseas, at the peak of his career, Dr. James Liu
decided to give up his position in the U.S. and returned to China at the end of 1999 to
take the position as Executive Vice President at Shanghai Stock Exchange.
Dr. Liu once was a visiting professor at the Business School of Chinese University of
Science and Technology. He also donated one hundred thousand US dollars to set up a
scholar foundation at Zhengzhou University.
刘啸东博士1981年毕业于郑州大学。1982年起赴美国留学，1988年获得博士学位。曾任新泽西州立大学博士后、纽约州立大学助理教授。1990年起，担任华尔街一家证券投资公司董事主管。
在过去的十年间，刘啸东博士在世界各大主要股市，如纽约、伦敦、东京、香港等地股市均有操作管理经验，交易品种包括股票、债券、期货及其他的衍生产品，每年的交易量均超过几百亿美元，在美国华尔街拥有出色的交易记录和良好的声誉，在对冲基金、国际游资以及全球资产管理等方面有着十分丰富的经验。
在海外求学、工作近二十载，正值事业巅峰之际，刘啸东博士毅然决定放弃海外的职位、归国服务，于1999年底回国，任上海证券交易所副总经理。
刘啸东博士曾任中国科技大学商学院兼职教授，并向郑州大学捐赠十万美元设立奖学金基金会。
